The man and the sea

This activity brings us closer to maritime communications, navigation, and the imposing Cabo de Palos Lighthouse, a building with many stories to tell. The trail combines with the Visitor Center, an encounter with the fascinating underwater world of the Region of Murcia; the history of the area’s great shipwrecks, the formation of the Mar Menor, and the unique seahorses.

Clean seas

In contrast to the beauty of the surrounding seabed, we address one of the biggest current environmental problems: plastics and other marine litter. A tour with cleaning and sampling on nearby beaches allows us to classify the waste and identify the sources. The children will collaboratively develop proposals and alternatives that they themselves can implement.

Secondary / Half day / €12

A trip through the Cabo de Palos marine reserve

From the port of Cabo de Palos, we sail through this spectacular stretch of the Murcian coast. We will discover underwater mountains, the Islas Hormigas (islands), and other relevant aspects of the Cabo de Palos Marine Reserve of Fishing Interest, one of the most important areas of the Mediterranean and a space in the Natura 2000 Network, the largest international network of protected areas.

Secondary / Half day / €18

The Underwater Forest

Exploring the sea with goggles, snorkel, and fins allows students to learn about the Posidonia oceanica meadows, protected for their extraordinary ecological importance, the environmental services they provide us, and the beauty and complexity of this underwater landscape. Students will be able to identify marine species and their habitat preferences, based on their own observations.

Discover the incredible underwater world

Diving with self-contained equipment and exploring the beautiful depths of Cabo de Palos is an experience you will never forget. This high-impact activity aims to be a motivation to learn more about the marine ecosystem, as well as the challenges and benefits of protected marine areas in the face of overfishing, plastic pollution, and global warming.

Monte de las Cenizas (Mount of Ashes), a look at climate change

This comfortable tour takes us into the forest of the Calblanque Regional Park, of extraordinary environmental interest due to the presence of Ibero-African species. In contrast, the destruction of Portmán Bay is the starting point for reflecting on the management of natural resources and the loss of environmental services that nature provides us. The summit welcomes us with a spectacular panoramic view of the park and its beaches.
